Syria's weapons actions 'significant' - John Kerry

The co-operation of Syria authorities on the destruction of the country's chemical weapons stockpile is "not insignificant", US Secretary of State John Kerry has said.

Speaking after a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Mr Kerry praised the Assad regime for beginning the process of disarmament so quickly.
