Syria polio 'could spread in region'

The confirmation that at least 10 cases of polio have been discovered is a risk to the wider region, according to Save the Children.

Brie O'Keefe told BBC News that the return of the disease to Syria was a "deterioration in global progress" and called for all sides the country's conflict to act together to allow immunisations.
