Ariel Sharon's deputy: 'We will remember him as a warrior'

The Israeli president, Shimon Peres, has led mourners at the lying-in-state of the late Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, outside Israel's parliament, the Knesset.

BBC reporter Quentin Somerville spoke to Silvan Shalom, who was Mr Sharon's deputy when he was in office.

Mr Shalom paid tribute to Ariel Sharon, saying: "We will remember him as a warrior. He did many things in order to keep the safety and security of the people of Israel."
