Afghanistan looks ahead to a year of change
By the end of 2014, all foreign combat troops should have been withdrawn from Afghanistan, with some 34,000 US personnel scheduled to leave before February.
The withdrawal coincides with the start of campaigning for the next presidential election in the country - although it could be weeks or even months before a new president is named following the April vote.
With so much dramatic change forecast, how do Afghans feel about their prospects in 2014?
