Iraq elections begin: People give their views

Voters in Iraq are going to the polls in all but one of the country's provinces in the first parliamentary elections since the withdrawal of US armed forces in 2011.

However, there will be no voting in parts of Anbar province where Sunni militants are battling the Iraqi military and Shi'ite militias.

Some voters have spoken about their hopes for the election.
