British boy and mother escape Syria after three years

The BBC has spoken exclusively to the mother of a British boy who had been trapped in Syria for three years.

The boy, called Muadh, who is seven years old, finally reached safety on Monday when he crossed the border into Jordan with his mother.

Inside war-torn Syria, Muadh and his mother witnessed many atrocities.

His UK based father launched a public campaign to save his son and lobbied the Foreign Office to do everything in their power to bring him home.
