Peter Greste trial: Al-Jazeera staff 'shocked' at verdict
Al-Jazeera staff are shocked and heartbroken at the sentencing of Peter Greste and two more of the organisation's journalists to seven years in prison in Egypt, a colleague has said.
A court in Cairo convicted Peter Greste, Mohammed Fahmy and Baher Mohamed of spreading false news and supporting the now banned Islamist group the Muslim Brotherhood. The trio had denied the charges.
