'Journalists told to evacuate hotel' - Paul Adams in Gaza

Journalists were told to evacuate their hotel by the Israeli military before a ground operation got under way, according to the BBC's Paul Wood in Gaza.

He saw an "unprecedented level of bombardment coming from the scene accompanied by several salvos of rockets being fired form parts of Gaza, then a sustained barrage of tracer fire."
