Middle East crisis: Normal life on hold in Gaza
At least 649 Palestinians and 31 Israelis have been killed in the past 15 days of fighting in the Gaza strip.
Israel launched its offensive on 8 July with the declared objective of stopping rocket fire from Hamas militants.
The United Nations says about 102,000 people have fled the offensive, and are now displaced across Gaza.
But those who have stayed are adjusting to the sounds and sights of conflict, as Yolande Knell reports.
