Middle East crisis: 'Terrible situation in Gaza', says UN
The United Nations says it is struggling to cope with the increasingly desperate situation faced by Palestinian civilians in Gaza.
It follows further Israeli air strikes and ground operations in Gaza, as Hamas continues to fire rockets into Israel.
The UN's humanitarian chief, Valerie Amos, said more than 118,000 people are now sheltering in UN schools, and water is in short supply.
Baroness Amos said it was a "terrible, terrible situation".
