Gaza crisis: UN says Israel must protect civilians or cease fire

Israel must take more care to protect civilians or cease its military operation, the commissioner general of the UNRWA says.

Pierre Krahenbuhl was speaking to the BBC's Chris Morris after a UN-run school was shelled, leaving at least 16 people dead and scores injured.

Mr Krahenbuhl also said that although they had found some Hamas weapons on UN premises, they had not been present on any of the schools hit by the Israeli military.
