Iraq: 'A humanitarian disaster of amazing proportions'
Thousands of members of the Yazidi religious minority are trapped on a mountain in northern Iraq after fleeing from Islamist militants.
Telegraph journalist Jonathan Krohn - who is at the top Mount Sinjar with the refugees - says the situation is "a humanitarian disaster of amazing proportions".
He told BBC News that the trapped Yazidi community "feel abandoned".
Estimates for the number of people trapped on Mount Sinjar range from 50,000 to 150,000.
