Iraq conflict: Yazidis in Sinjar cling on to aid flight
Ten of thousands of civilians in northern Iraq are fleeing for their lives, desperate to avoid the advance of the Islamic State, formerly known as ISIS.
Many are stranded on a mountainside and have been without food, water and shelter for seven days or more.
International concern is focused on those who have been driven from their homes in the town of Sinjar.
The BBC's Jiyar Gol has been on board one of the helicopters delivering aid to desperate Yazidis trapped in the region.
