Iraq crisis: Refugees plead for foreign military intervention

Iraqi refugees from the Yazidi religious minority have told the BBC only a foreign military intervention can help them.

So far, the US has engaged in limited air strikes against the self-styled Islamic State (IS), a Sunni Muslim jihadist group formerly known as Isis.

Over a million Iraqis remain displaced from their homes since IS began its offensive, the UN says.
