Iraq conflict: IS-besieged town 'fighting on their own'
Amerli, a town 170km north of Baghdad, has been under siege by Islamic State militants for more than two months.
The town is home to members of Iraq's Turkmen minority, who are Shia Muslims, and who the militants consider to be heretics.
Amerli's 20,000 residents are without electricity and are running out of food and medical supplies.
One resident, Dr Ali Albayati, said children ate only one meal every three days.
