Heavy fighting near Turkish Syrian border town of Kobani

There has been heavy fighting between Islamic State militants and Kurdish fighters on the outskirts of Kobani a town on the Syrian Turkish border.

Thousands of people are trying to flee the violence.

It comes as Turkey's parliament is getting ready to debate whether to allow military action against Islamic State.
