Islamic State plans for its own currency - in 60 seconds

The extremist militant group, Islamic State, has announced that it plans to mint its own currency.

In an online statement the group says it wants to "get rid of the international monetary system".

It follows the release of an audio recording which the group claims is of its leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

But why is the group so keen for its own currency?
