Iraqi air force pilot: 'They see us crying'

Ahmed Thwenee, an Iraqi air force helicopter pilot who flies regular aid and rescue missions to Mount Sinjar, describes his job a difficult and dangerous.

The BBC has been given exclusive access to the army operation taking in food and supplies and trying to rescue the most vulnerable.

Thousands of displaced Yazidi families remain on top of Mount Sinjar, after being attacked earlier this year by militiamen from the so-called Islamic State.

Hundreds were killed in the original offensive and thousands of women and children kidnapped - four months later, it is thought up to 10,000 villagers could be still trapped on the mountain.
