Iraq's Yazidis still evading IS on Mount Sinjar

Thousands of displaced Yazidi families remain on top of Mount Sinjar in northern Iraq, after being attacked earlier this year by militiamen from the so-called Islamic State.

With the start of the winter many are struggling to keep warm, or even feed themselves.

Nafiseh Kohnavard from BBC Persian was given exclusive access to the army operation taking in food and supplies and trying to rescue the most vulnerable.

She spent the night with those surrounded by IS and fearing for their lives.
