King Tutankhamen's beard raises concerns about Egypt's antiquities

Egypt's Ministry of Antiquities is investigating how a visible layer of adhesive wound up on one of the world's greatest archaeological treasures - the burial mask of King Tutankhamen.

One media report claims the mask's beard was hastily glued back on last year, after it was loosened or knocked off.

As Orla Guerin reports from Cairo, the incident has raised concerns about how Egypt's ancient treasures are being treated.
