Al-Jazeera trial: Amal Clooney says 'Sisi should intervene'
Amal Clooney, the lawyer for one of three al-Jazeera journalists convicted of spreading false news, has called on Egypt's President Sisi to pardon the men.
Canadian-Egyptian Mr Fahmy and Egyptian Mr Mohamed were led away to begin their sentences after Saturday's verdict.
Peter Greste was deported back to his home country of Australia earlier this year and was on trial in absentia.
