The struggle for security in Balochistan

Pakistan says it is winning the battle against separatist insurgents in the restive province of Balochistan.

But activists say that abductions, torture and killings by the army are deepening hostilities.

The region shares long, porous borders with Iran and Afghanistan, and has been in a long-running insurgency for a separate homeland.
