Syria conflict: Inside Homs as fighters and families leave city
Homs has seen some of the fiercest fighting of the war. But on Wednesday, under a ceasefire deal negotiated with the government and backed by the UN, fighters began leaving the city.
The rebels, along with some civilians, are travelling under security escort to the northern area of Idlib, which is still under rebel control.
The deal means the entire city, which has seen some of the most intense fighting against President Assad's rule, is now back in government hands.
Lyse Doucet was there as the fighters and families were taken away.
