Pain of death crosses battle lines in Syria's Aleppo

A cessation of hostilities in Syria that started on Monday seems to be holding in most areas.

The UN says it is now vital that food and medical supplies are allowed in to besieged and hard-to-reach areas, especially the northern city of Aleppo.

Aleppo has been divided roughly in two since 2012, with rebel factions holding the east and government forces controlling the west, from where BBC Middle Editor Jeremy Bowen reports.
