Shimon Peres: 'Wars have made us bad people'

Former Israeli prime minister and president Shimon Peres died at the age of 93, two weeks after suffering a stroke.

In his final public speech, in an event in Italy at the beginning of September, he said: "I don't believe that we have wars because we're bad people.

"I think we have become bad people because we have wars."
