Israel Gaza: ‘We don’t feel the joy of Ramadan’
Displaced people in Rafah in the Gaza Strip have prepared meals using the limited food available to mark the start of the Muslim holy month.
Ramadan is usually a month of fasting, reflection and family time but this year, celebrations were muted in Gaza as Israel’s air and ground campaign continued in response to the 7 October attack carried out by Hamas.
The conflict has fuelled a hunger crisis in the territory, with little aid arriving in the territory.
