Gutierrez: 'We failed miserably' to engage Hispanic vote

In the 2012 US Presidential elections 70% of the Hispanic vote went to Barack Obama.

Former Republican Secretary of Commerce and Cuban immigrant, Carlos Gutierrez told HARDtalk's Stephen Sackur the party had "failed miserably" to engage with Hispanic communities.

Mr Gutierrez said he "feared" that some members of the party were anti-immigration and such views were "flawed".
