100 Women: Backstage with Cherie Blair at BBC World News
Human rights lawyer Cherie Blair has guest-edited the BBC World News programme GMT, as part of our 100 Women season.
The wife of former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair joined a team of journalists at New Broadcasting House in London to help edit the programme, presented by George Alagiah.
She contributed to the morning's discussion about the day's news agenda - which included news that US President Barack Obama was poised to choose a woman, Janet Yellen, to head the Federal Reserve.
Mrs Blair, who has set up an international foundation, external to back women trying to set up and grow their businesses, also appeared on the programme to talk about her work to campaign for gender equality.
Her appearance was part of the BBC's 100 Women, external season - which aims to highlight the risks, challenges and opportunities that women face every day, across the globe.
