Pakistan denies it is a 'safe haven' for terrorists
Pakistan is refusing to bow to US pressure to step up its fight against militancy after America accused it of supporting the Haqqani network - one of the most dangerous insurgent groups in Afghanistan.
Pakistan's government denies it provides a safe haven for the fighters who carried out the recent attacks on the Afghan capital Kabul.
But a former Pakistani National Security Advisor says the Haqqani group is operating in Pakistan's tribal belt of Waziristan.
