Afghans 'will have viable state by 2015'
It is 10 years since the start of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, the American and British-led operation against Taliban forces in the country.
But after billions of pounds, and the loss of hundreds of Nato and Afghan lives, the Taliban continue to carry out attacks across the country and in the capital, Kabul.
John Simpson asked the British ambassador to Afghanistan, Sir William Patey, whether it was not a disaster that 10 years on the Taliban were still a serious threat.
