Iran releases US hiker Shourd

A US woman freed by Iran after more than a year in jail on spying charges has been reunited with her mother in Oman.

Sarah Shourd, arrested near the Iran-Iraq border in July 2009, says she will now push for the release of her companions Shane Bauer and Josh Fattal.

The families of the three say they crossed the poorly-demarcated border by mistake while hiking in the mountainous northern Iraqi region of Khormal.
