'Enviropigs': genetically modified for food consumption
Genetically modified crops may have once been cutting edge, but now there is a new frontier - genetically modified animals.
The US Food and Drug Administration is considering applications to approve genetically modified farm animals for human consumption.
The BBC's Jeremy Cooke has had rare access to some genetically modified "Enviropigs" in Canada. Each pig contains genes from mice and E. coli bacteria which have been inserted into their DNA.
