Homeless man saved from the streets by his radio voice

A 53-year-old homeless man from Columbus in Ohio has been receiving offers of radio work after being talent-spotted by a local newspaper reporter while asking for money by a roadside.

Ted Williams says he once used his smooth baritone voice to work as a radio announcer before falling on hard times.

But when the journalist made a video of him and posted it on the internet the job offers started pouring in.

Ross Velton reports.
