US Former UN ambassador: North Korea message 'internal'

North Korea is preparing to launch a rocket bearing what it insists is a satellite and not a test missile.

Critics are worried that the launch, due to take place between 12-16 April, is in fact a test of long-range missile technology.

The launch is part of celebrations marking the 100th anniversary of the birth of North Korea's late leader Kim Il-Sung.

New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, formerly US ambassador to the UN, told the BBC's Katty Kay the launch would violate UN sanctions if it went ahead.
