Analyst on why Zimmerman was not quickly arrested

The neighbourhood watch volunteer who shot dead an unarmed black teenager in Florida has been charged with second degree murder.

George Zimmerman claims he acted in self-defence when he opened fire on 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.

Roland S Martin, an analyst for CNN who helped bring the case to national attention in the United States, told BBC Radio 5 live Morning Reports why he thought it took authorities so long to arrest Mr Zimmerman.
