Obama: 'Growth and stability key for world economies'

Discussions between leaders of the G8 group of major world economies are underway near Washington, with the eurozone crisis set to dominate the agenda.

Speaking ahead of the talks, US President Barack Obama said that all of the delegates were "absolutely committed" to pursuing growth and stability in order to "achieve the kind of prosperity for our citizens that we are looking for".
