Obama and Romney in explosive clash over energy

US President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney have clashed over energy policy in the United States in the second of their debates ahead of November's presidential election

Mr Romney said that production of oil on government land had fallen in the past four years.

But Mr Obama said they had taken away leases from oil companies that were not using them to allow them to be re-let.
