New Jersey Governor counts cost of storm Sandy destruction

The Governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie, has said the destruction caused by storm Sandy was "beyond anything I thought I would ever see".

Three people were killed in the state of New Jersey, including two parents killed by a falling tree when they got out of their car; their children, 11 and 14, who remained inside, survived.

Governor Christie said 2.4 million households had been affected, double the number hit by Hurricane Irene in August 2011.
