'Let's get NY back on track,' says New York mayor

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg has said the authorities are working around the clock to get New York back on track, in the wake of the huge storm Sandy.

At a news conference, he expressed sadness at the loss of life and said it was important to look at "even better ways" of protecting people in future storms.
