Dancing lottery winner mistakes C$40m jackpot

A woman in Toronto who originally thought she had won 40,000 Canadian dollars ($39,428; £26,000) danced for joy when she was presented with her actual lottery winnings of CDN $40m

Maria Carreiro said she only realised when she got home from the shops that her winnings ran into the millions.

She told journalists how her mistake was discovered by her daughter.

Mrs Carreiro said that, among other things, she is planning to spend her winnings on her dream Hawaiian honeymoon - after 30 years of marriage.
