Boston Marathon: President Obama tells city 'we stand with you'

President Obama has told the people of Boston that the United States stands with them, at an interfaith memorial service for those affected by Monday's attack on the city's Marathon.

Speaking at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, the president praised Boston's history of "opening its heart" to welcome outsiders.

Mr Obama also paid tribute to the three people who lost their lives in the blasts and called for peace.
