Tornadoes leave trail of destruction as storms hit central US
An extreme weather system moving through central areas of the US and stretching from north Texas to Minnesota, has left a devastating trail of destruction in its wake.
Residents have been warned to stay in shelters or underground.
"Complete destruction of neighbourhoods, businesses and vehicles will occur. Flying debris will be deadly to people and animals," warned an advisory from the National Weather Service.
