Manning 'no intent' to harm says Amnesty International

Bradley Manning, the US Army private who leaked thousands of classified documents, has been convicted of espionage but not of aiding the enemy.

Widney Brown, senior director of international law and policy at Amnesty International defended Pte Manning's actions saying he had "never any intent to harm the US government".

Pte Manning, 25, was found guilty of 20 charges in total, including theft and computer fraud.
