Syria crisis: US ponders action over Syria attack

The US has given its clearest signal yet that it is planning what President Obama has called a "limited, narrow" military attack on Syria.

Secretary of State John Kerry has outlined a raft of US intelligence far more detailed than that presented by British intelligence about last week's alleged chemical attacks.

He laid the blame firmly at the door of President Bashar al-Assad, and said the attack had killed at least 1,429 people, including more than 400 children.
