Obama welcomes Senate debt deal vote

President Barack Obama has welcomed a vote by the US Senate to reopen the government and raise the federal debt limit.

He said he hoped it meant the end of what he called government by crisis.

President Obama urged both Democrats and Republicans to now focus on strengthening the economy, and other matters that improve the lives of Americans.
