Obama: No repealing 'Obamacare' healthcare law

US President Barack Obama has vowed never to allow the repeal of his signature healthcare law as long as he remains in office.

He called on opponents of the embattled Affordable Care Act to offer solutions or alternatives to help millions of Americans without adequate health coverage.

The law - already burdened with unanimous Republican opposition - has lost political support from Mr Obama's fellow Democrats following a disastrous 1 October rollout of its website.

"We're not going to walk away from it," Mr Obama said. "If I've got to fight another three years to make sure this law works, than that's what I'll do."
