Calgary stabbings: Students killed at end of college party

The son of a policeman has been arrested in connection with the stabbing deaths of five people at a house party in Calgary.

The attack, considered the worst mass murder in the city's history, occurred shortly after 01:00 local time (07:00 GMT) on Tuesday.

The victims reportedly range in age from 22 to 27, and were attending the party near the University of Calgary.

Rick Hanson, from Calgary Police, said the scene was "horrific".
