Bowe Bergdahl: 'His life, his health were in peril' - Hagel

US Defence Secretary Chuck Hagel says the decision to strike deal with the Taliban for the release of a US soldier was unanimous in the White House.

In an interview with the BBC, Mr Hagel said the agreement was made because it was thought Sgt Bowe Bergdahl's life was in danger.
