100-year-old Galapagos tortoise gets new home in Ohio

An extremely rare Galapagos tortoise thought to be 100 years old has been given a new home at a zoo in Ohio.

Emerson had been a resident at San Diego Zoo since the 1980s, but was moved earlier this week. Even though he's lived through two world wars and seen off 16 American presidents - he could still live for another 50 years.

Galapagos tortoises are listed as vulnerable by the International Union for Conservation of Nature because of competition for resources in their native land.
