Ottawa shootings: Gunman 'acting alone'

Police in Canada have said that they believe the man who shot dead a soldier and stormed parliament buildings in Ottawa on Wednesday was acting alone.

They have released dramatic CCTV of the moment the 32-year-old Canadian ran into parliament.

He was shot dead by the Sergeant at Arms, Kevin Vickers, who this morning was given an emotional standing ovation by politicians back at work.

The Prime Minister said Canada would not be intimidated and would not panic.
